ABOUT BAQUEIRA
THE RESORT
Situated in the north part of the Pyrenees, Baqueira Beret itʼs a hidden treasure that is widely regarded as the best ski resort in Spain and across the Pyrenees. While Andorra and some French resorts might have a higher lift or a larger lift/linked ski area, Baqueira offers the best range of terrain, long pistes, snow record, resort convenience, free ride potential, scenery, ambience and quality of hotels and restaurants.
It is the most extensive Spanish resort being over 167km in length and 2610m in height. It is divided in four sectors: Beret, Baqueira (in the middle), Baciver and Bonaigua. And it is venue for international and national contests.
The resort is largely facing northwest so it directly puts it in the path of the snow-laden winter storms coming in from the Atlantic. Almost all the slopes are over 1800m and are reinforced by snow canons, so the main pisted area is pretty much snowsure from Christmas through to Easter.
Baqueira Beret represents great value for money with large ski areas, great skiing and friendly hospitality. You will find a modern ski resort with good accessibility from Toulouse and Barcelona, parking next to the slopes, in slope restaurants and a great range of après-ski activities.
Located in the centre of the Arán Valley, you can enjoy its traditional villages with well preserved Romanesque churches dating back from the Middle Ages, its history and superb gastronomy.
